July 2006

Home

July was the month our gardens really took off. The previous owners put a lot of time into landscaping the grounds, and Sue and Andy truly enjoyed watching all the variety of flowers bloom. We never did truly figure out all the different varieties of lillies, but we'll keep trying!

For the July 4th week, we flew down to San Antonio to visit Dad and Mimi, then drove up to Dallas for Sue's work. On the drive, we decided it was time to purchase another "toy", so after returning to Minnesota, we spent the next weekend shopping for a motor home (successfully). We purchased a 33-foot, Class A motor home manufactured by Forest River, and spent the rest of the summer enjoying the fact that we no longer have to set up tents upon our arrival at the various campgrounds we visited!
